Commonly Asked Questions:

Q: What do you charge?

Answer: As of the 2024 Season, for both Design and Labor I charge $60/hour (this does not include delivery fees, waste disposal fees, or cost of materials)

Q: So the plants are in the ground… What now?
Is the garden completed and good to grow as long as I ensure it has enough water?

Answer: After a project is installed, I reach out to the client periodically over the following growing season(s) to see how the garden is doing, and to address any immediate or obvious concerns they may have.

If warranted, I may decide to do another site visit to follow up on any worries or inquiries the client or I might have.

Revisiting the gardens and witnessing how nature has responded to them being there is the part I excitedly look forward to.

My current area of expertise is in the process of designing a plan, carrying it out, and then communicating back and forth with the garden and it’s users to curate unmatched outdoor spaces that will be enjoyed with ease for many years to come :) I think of the gardens I plant as interactive, functional, living art projects.

Q: I already have a yard and garden I am happy with but looking for help maintaining. Do you offer just general maintenance or yard clean up for existing gardens?

Answer: Not currently.

I offer continued general maintenance on the gardens I personally renovate, design and/or install. At this point in the journey, my time and energy is best focused on the gardens I have a hand in creating or changing.

Q: If you draw up a renovation plan for my current gardens, can I carry out the installation on my own?

Answer: Yes, absolutely!

If this is an approach you are considering or are interested in, it’s helpful I know this at the site visit before hitting the drawing board.

Knowing this prior to drafting a plan, allows me to include relevant information and steps, as well as materials and supplies, that are essential for a home gardener to have knowledge of when tackling a project on their own.
