Services
Dirt Design does not offer services for miscellaneous yard work chores.
Dirt Design LLC specializes in Garden Design with Install and Maintenance that crafts a plan unique to every property and owner. Northern Michigan supports plants that reliably grow in Zone 4, yet there are many factors to consider when choosing the right plant for the right place. The mission is to create successful gardens that work with the environmental conditions they are planted in and will grow to contribute to the overall health, function, and appearance of the landscape. Starting with soil health to ensure the plants have the best chance of success, Dirt Design emphasizes the importance of incorporating a combination of MI native plants in the Garden to support the right ecosystem, while still accommodating clients’ personal preferences and style. We offer continued maintenance on the gardens we install.
Examples of Different Types of Projects:
Garden Design and Renovation
Wether you have an existing overgrown garden to bring back to life, or are looking to add a new garden bed on your property,
a personalized design and installation, tailored to your property and preferences, is within reach.
Property Mapping, Project Maps and Garden Plans
Property Maps are handcrafted functional works of art that identify and represent existing buildings or gardens on a given property. (Family Compounds w/ Cottages, Large Properties, Adjoining Properties etc.)
Project Maps can bring your vision to life and keep you on track. These maps represent the series of steps needed to achieve your unique project goals.
Do you have a garden you aren’t happy with, yet aren’t sure what changes you should make for your desired outcome?
A Garden Plan is a 2-part map that first shows the garden’s current circumstances and the preparation required of the gardener to prepare it for the upcoming changes. The second map shows the new garden design with instructions for the home-gardener to install it successfully.
Container Gardening
Transforming small spaces without digging.
Do you live in a condo with minimal space but are interested in growing vegetables and herbs on your patio?
Maybe you are looking to spice up a front entrance to a business or home.
Whatever it is, container gardening offers a non-invasive approach to adding greenery and seasonal interest.
